Join us for our first annual Girl Scouts of Connecticut Climate Change Conference! The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) will be joining us to bring a whole day of environmental science with a focus on climate change. There will be discussions, hands-on experiments, a project presentation, and more. Details are still being finalized and a final schedule along with a materials list will be sent out and posted here closer to the event.
There will be full-group sessions as well as breakout rooms for a deeper dive. Participants will be divided into 1) Daisies and Brownies, and 2) Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors. The older participants will have a chance to present things they are working on by themselves or with their troop from 1 pm to 2 pm.
Have a climate change Highest Award project, Take Action Project, or something else your troop is working on? Email ssmith@gsofct.org to present it to participants during this hour.
Cost- $15 per girl. Includes the Girl Scouts of Connecticut Climate Change Patch and 2021 Conference Rocker. Both will be mailed to you after the conference.
