Have you ever wanted to be a Girl Scout Junior Ranger? Join us at Weir Farm to learn how! Families are invited to take part in a scavenger hunt throughout the park, covering the requirements to become a Girl Scout Junior Ranger. Any age level Girl Scout can become a Junior Ranger!

Please arrive at the National Park between 9:45 am and 10 am. A Ranger from the park will greet you and give you the scavenger hunt. The activities should take about an hour to complete, and then there will be a swearing in ceremony for our new Girl Scout Rangers. Families are welcome to pack a picnic lunch and stay after the hunt to have lunch and explore the park more if they wish. 

Please note: This is not a drop-off event. All participants need an adult with them or need to come with their troop leader. If troops are attending, please have your members carpool in as few cars as possible. The parking lot is very small and the street does not allow for drop offs. All girls need an adult with them at all times. 

Participants will receive the Girl Scout Junior Ranger patch. There is also a Weir Farm patch available for purchase. And, if you take a selfie in the park, you can check #3 off your Girl Scouts Love the Outdoors 2022 checklist!

Registration is required to participate. The parking lot only fits a limited number of cars, so please carpool where possible.
