This course fulfills outdoor training requirements and will provide volunteers with the skills they need to teach Girl Scouts to build fires safely, plan and carry out camping trips with their Girl Scouts, outdoor manners, dressing for the outdoors, knife safety, and more.
Completion of this course allows troops to go on camping at established campsites (GSOFCT Camps, State Parks, etc.) in tents, a-frames, and lean-tos, as well as, build and cook over fires at events or troop meetings.
Completion of the online education portion in gsLearn is required before attending the in-person skills check.
Out and About is required to be completed before taking this class.
Cost $30- Remember you can use troop funds to support adult education!
Any registered adult in the troop can be the Ready, Set, Camp certified adult.
