Come learn all about the exciting world of paleontology with Emily Keeble, a vertebrate paleontology Ph.D. student at Virginia Tech. Her work focuses on Triassic archosaurs (the earliest dinosaurs and crocodile relatives) and she uses a lot of digital techniques such as 3D modeling to study their anatomy and how this helped them survive. If you want to get a better idea of her work and who she is, you can check out her Instagram @deinonychusfloof . For the last year, she hasn't been able to post much about her work though (unpublished and secret-ish!) so this video she made for her previous job may also help! For that project, she made models from high-resolution CT scans of fossils and prepared them for the more complex biomechanical analysis.
If you have any questions you'd like her to cover, please send them to ssmith@gsoct.org by Tuesday, November 9th.
